Hello, I’m Susanne [usually get Susie] and I am lucky enough to live on the beautiful Sunshine coast Queensland. Congratulations on your engagement, this is a wonderful time in your lives whether you are young and just starting out, or older and cementing a longstanding relationship. I am an Authorised Marriage Celebrant and I love what I do, getting to know my couples and guiding them through the process of getting married in Australia. I grew up in the 70’s and remain a bit of a “hippy chick” to this day, so barefoot in the sand with the sun on our faces and daisy chains in our hair, Rolling Stones playing , it is all ok with me. The less ”normal” the better, pets, children, laughter, jokes, I love it all , just don’t ask me to sing! I also enjoy the more traditional and serious aspects of the wedding day, the special involvement of the parents and other loved ones of my couples, the vows that are said, aloud in front of witnesses, the bond that is being created between two people. What ever you want, for your wedding day, whether it be Formal, Casual or In-between, I will help you create a ceremony that reflects who you are and what you feel. The skill is in getting the balance right between light hearted fun and deep emotion. My background is in nursing, so I have developed a keen eye for observation and an attention to detail that also serve me well in planning your ceremony .I create each ceremony from scratch, words that will flow around the legal necessities, making your ceremony unique to you .There is no right or wrong way to design your wedding as long as we fulfil the legal requirements. Everyone is different and my job is to listen to you and understand what you want, so that together we can make your day perfect and memorable. My husband Steve and I were married over 30 years ago in our backyard, by a wonderful celebrant , with our two witnesses, full stop! That wedding was fantastic, and as important as a wedding for 300 with all the bells and whistles , so I promise you, that I will give my Total Devotion to each and every ceremony I do.

What comes with my service

• I provide an Initial Consultation, totally obligation free, where we can see if we are a “good fit”.
• I will guide you through, the legal process of getting married in Australia and lodge all legal paperwork.
• I will give you as much of my time , face to face , by phone or email, as you need, to ensure that your ceremony is fine tuned , perfectly.
• A rehearsal, or run through of choreography ,as you wish.
• A unique, personally written ceremony, that reflects your union.
• Ideas for different and interesting rituals, that can add warmth and fun to your ceremony.
• Ideas for poems and readings that can be included.
• My full attention on your day, I won’t be rushing off to another ceremony and I will arrive well before your nominated time to set up and meet your guests.
• Use of my personal PA system.
• A signing table and chairs.
• My genuine desire to give you exactly what you want on the most special day of your lives.
